Monastics and lay students share their experiences and personal stories of how the Buddha Dharma and the teachings of Luang Por Jamnian has changed their lives and inspire them on the path. The book also includes a Dhamma talk given by Luang Por Jamnian in December 2016 under the Bodhi tree in Bodhgaya, India. The event in India was sponsored by Light of the Buddhadharma Foundation International.

Under the Bodhi Tree eBook (English)

Ajahn Jamnian ( Ajahn Jumnean) was invited by the Light of Buddhadharma Foundation International to give a Dhamma talk under the Bodhi tree in Bodhgaya, India at the 2012 Tipitaka Chanting Ceremony. This event is a ten day gathering attended by thousands of Buddhist monks and lay people from around the world annually. Luang Por Jumnean speaks about practicing the middle way based on his own direct experience. He points out basic misunderstandings some people may hold about the path to liberation and recounts the discoveries that helped lead him to insight and understanding. The Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta, often translated into English as “the Four Foundations of Mindfulness” or “The Discourse on the Establishing of Mindfulness” is one of the important teachings in Theravada Buddhism. It is one of Buddha’s important teachings for establishing mindfulness or “sati” and what Buddha described as a “direct path to liberation.” This version of the Satipatthana Sutta was translated by both lay and monastic students of Ajahn Jumnien ( Ajahn Jamnian or Ajahn Jumnean).

Middle Way and Mano and Citta Chart

Below is a version of a the Middle Way and Mano/Citta diagram used by Ajahn Jamnian ( Ajahn Jumnien ) in his 2013 teachings. The on the right demonstrates the middle way between liking and disliking as well as the chain of dependent origination. The chart on the left shows the relationship between the mano and the citta as well as the various energy centers. You may find it helpful to refer to this chart when you are listening to the audio recordings that can be found here. In this chart he teaches the middle way and dependent origination.
